My Etsy journey has been an experience full of creative detours. This is confirmed in that I am writing that for the second time!
Originally, I opened up shop to sell fine art photography on premium cotton paper. I then switched to premium photo paper, and also shops, with this one named "Solhful Photography" at the time. I enjoyed creating photographic art, and I appreciate all those who favorited my images, included them in treasuries, and to those who purchased my prints. Thank you.
However, my shop has taken yet another detour! Beginning at the latter part of 2013, I began adding photo editing to my shop. It was welcomed very warmly! I have really enjoyed being able to assist people with their family photos, wedding photos, professional headshots, shop listings, professionals who need some assisting during a busy season or complex edit, and everything in between.
I am beginning this new year with a new name, "The Photosmith Shoppe." I will be offering only photo edits, from singles to bulk. I don't just edit with a one size fits all approach. I first ask your thoughts and input, if you would like to give any, and then I analyze the photo and its needs and get to work on that. If the client would like further artistic work done on the image, tonal work to textures, etc..., we discuss that as well. I then offer three revisions on single purchase edits. For bulk comes a 15% discount, and two revisions.
I really enjoy creating custom photographic prints for my clients. Most everyone owns a pretty decent camera, but the ins and outs of Photoshop can be a little daunting. While I am self taught, I've been working on a regular basis in Photoshop for the past six years. I am constantly gleaning more information, and improving where I can. I feel confident in my knowledge and abilities, and I really enjoy offering a cost-effective, and affordable option to all out professional portrait photography, or fine art photography for you home.
Another option that I feel is personal that I offer is samples. If you would like me to put together a low-res watermarked sample edit on your image before you decide, I will do just that. I've had several requests for this, and so I've begun offering it as a standard.
I look forward to working with you!
